Transsexuals rank lowest in overall wellbeing (Gates). SIRS researcher writes, â€Å"The American Psychiatric Association uses the term ‘gender dysphonia’ as the medical diagnosis for people who feel their birth-assigned sex and their gender identity do not match.† Civilians need a better understanding that transgender people need better protection. People against transsexuals believe that transgender are â€Å"ghastly† and are having an â€Å"identity crisis.† Transsexuals need protection in the workplace, public facilities, and in athletics/sports. For starters, the workplace can be a dangerous place for transsexuals. To begin with, Trevor Gates states in an article, that, LGBT workers rank lowest in wellbeing and financial wellbeing as well. Considering that Americans are already in a financial crisis, this is absolutely outrageous. Everyone no matter what sex you are, should be allowed to live the â€Å"American dream.† People want to tal k about America land of the free, more like America land of the sick and depraved. Secondly, Gates also states, the Williams Institute estimates that 43% of LGBT experience discrimination at work. I had a friend named Natalie, who was a transsexual, MTF (male to female) who informed me about her work life, she said it was very horrendous and intensely vigorous, almost like putting a deer in a lions din. The performance appraisal system used by our organization is done annually. The purpose of the review is for employee as well as manager, to aptitude performance from the past year relating to the specific responsibilities and objective of that employee. This gives the opportunity for managers to give feedback on the strengths and development areas that are summarized from that previous year. Employees must also use this opportunity to give feedback on how they can best perform and develop themselves. The employee’s performance does not meet required expectations. The employee is aware of negativity that they are proclaiming, and also the lack of quality and quantity of their quota. This rating is for employees who are in a position for less than six months. There should be only three levels of ratings. The three should be excellent, commendable and development needed. To my understanding the outstanding rating and the excellent rating are exactly at the same level. These two ratings mean the same thing. I perceive the outstanding rating, which is the highest rating, is unattainable. I f the employee has an excellent rating, how much higher can they go? The outstanding rating was established to save the company money. Save the company money that they really do not intend to give out in raises. This unattainable
